TESL NS Members Bursary Program

TESL Nova Scotia is pleased to relaunch its bursary program for current general (non-executive) members.

Three bursaries, up to $500 each, will be awarded to successful applicants.  The TESL NS bursary committee hopes to remain flexible in how funds are awarded and encourages all members, including recent graduates and newcomers to the region to engage in professional  development that benefits you and your community of practice. Therefore, funds can be used for travel, conference or workshop registration, research, upskilling, training, etc.

Please include:

  •  Basic biography
  •  Resume; CV or teaching dossier
  •  Letter of reference, and
  • 500 word description (written,  video, audio, etc…) of how the bursary and the opportunity would benefit your teaching practice.
  •  Details regarding the cost of  the event or training
  • Contact information.

Winners will be asked to contribute a summary of their experience to members via the TESL NS newsletter, or another acceptable medium (conference presentation, etc.)

Applications are due in September. Please send an email with the above application materials to info@teslns.com
