2023 Spring Conference Dates Confirmed
Save the date: We are thrilled to confirm that our 2023 Spring Conference “Shifting Practice in ELT”, will take place on Saturday, June 3, at Acadia University. We are planning an in-person conference, with the possibility to offer some virtual sessions, depending on submissions received.
The goal of this Spring’s conference is to share ideas, strategies, materials, and research related to the many ways in which we have had to re-calibrate our teaching and program management strategies these past several years. Of course, shifting to virtual teaching is one thing that immediately comes to mind, but we wish to capture much more than that.
We invite ideas that reflect how you have adapted or shifted your English Language Teaching approaches, from re-evaluating English-only policies to leverage biliteracy, to moving toward content-based learning, to aiming for more inclusive practices. While we encourage presentations related to this idea of shifting practices, proposals on all topics will be considered. We are also accepting proposals for 45-minute presentations and facilitated discussions. You can submt any proposals by clicking here.
Special Meeting April 12th
What’s happening? The TESL NS Board is calling a special members’ meeting, as specified in Bylaw 12, to propose a special resolution to revise Bylaw 16 Quorum in the section on meetings. Please check the email you received regarding this, to access the Zoom link and to check the TESL N.S. Bylaws.
