Join us for our annual Spring Conference!

Presenter slides are now available for download on this page.

The 2016 Spring Conference will be held at Acadia University on Saturday, May 14. The program will include presentations, workshops and networking opportunities. We are pleased to announce that Nova Scotia’s Minister of Immigration, Lena Metlege Diab, will be speaking at the conference.

All are welcome, including volunteers and community members. Topics will include volunteering with refugees, cultural competency, Canadian Language Benchmarks, and much much more!

As part of our ongoing commitment to advocacy, we will be collecting donations for the Valley Community Learning Association (VCLA) at the conference. The VCLA is a not-for-profit charitable group that works to raise the literacy levels of adults in Kings and Annapolis Counties, in Nova Scotia, Canada. VCLA offers a range of free classes and tutoring in many areas, including English as an additional language.
