The conference will begin with the AGM at 10:00 a.m., which is open to all TESL NS members.The AGM will provide an overview of the past year, insights into future plans, and an opportunity to engage in TESL NS’s decision-making process.
Following the AGM, attendees are invited to attend the mini conference. The TESL NS Mini Conference will focus on inclusivity in ESL education, exploring strategies to create accessible and equitable learning environments, and support diverse learners.

Our Speakers
Art Ross
Art Ross has been teaching ESL for the past 10 years. After moving to Brazil and creating their own ESL business, Art joined ISANS and has created an open, energetic, thoughtful classroom. They are an activist, performer, and teacher. Together, they use their platform to circulate LGBTQ+ teachings within ESL spaces and have collaborated with ISANS colleagues to create an inclusive curriculum.
Becca Chaytor
Becca Chaytor has served as an Accessibility Advisor with the Fred Smithers Centre for Student Accessibility at Saint Mary’s University. With a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University of Newfoundland and a current pursuit of a Master of Education in Educational Leadership at the University of Prince Edward Island, she specializes in balancing student needs and academic integrity in an evolving educational landscape. Join Becca as she explores strategies to support neurodiverse learners and foster accessible, inclusive, and engaging classrooms for all students.
